About the Grand River bead society

Located in Guelph, Ontario, Canada, and serving the surrounding area, the Grand River Bead Society (GRBS) was formed in 2001 by a group of bead enthusiasts who wanted to share their knowledge and inspire others about all things beading-related.  It is a registered, non-profit,  volunteer group of people who share an abiding love of, and an enthusiasm for, beads, beadwork, and related jewellery-making skills. We are a member of the Guelph Arts Council.

The organization has become a thriving arts community that includes beaders, stringers, wire-workers, metalsmiths, glass bead lampworkers, fiber artists, polymer and metal clay artists, and others who incorporate both novel and traditional materials and techniques in their work.

The GRBS is run by an executive made up of enthusiastic volunteers. To see the various responsibilities of the executive click here.
